Summary
Meet the Polonius Family. They live right there in the court alongside that fucked-up royal family, but they’re more wholesome, down-to-earth, practical… NOT! Poor Ophelia is verbally smacked around by both her brother and her father for imagining that she could have a romantic relationship with the prince. Unfortunately, she’s all too used to this familial abuse, so she agrees to try and put those silly girlish notions behind her. We’ll see how that turns out.
This week we’ll also hear from Shay Baker, another of our student listeners, who’s going to be playing Ophelia in an upcoming production of Hamlet in March. We’ll see what they think now and then maybe check in with them again later when they’ve put that shit on stage for reals!
